      ITGULFCOAST September 2011 Meeting

      Incorporating Cutting-Edge Technology with Wastewater Management

      PENSACOLA - ITGULFCOAST, an Information Technology Association for the Gulf Coast, will hold their regular monthly meeting on Thursday September 22 at the new Escambia County Utilities Authorities (ECUA)  Central Water Reclamation Facility (CWRF).  Larry Scott, head of technology for ECUA, will lead us on a guided tour of the new facility. He will present and discuss the cutting-edge technology incorporated into the new ECUA location.

      2011 iTenWired Summit

      The Pensacola Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, TEAM Santa Rosa, ITGULFCOAST and the University of West Florida announce the 2011 iTen Wired Summit, to be hosted in Pensacola on September 9 at UWF. iTenWired is a consortium of information technology entrepreneurs, gathering annually to discuss the latest trends and best practices of the field. This summit will focus on “Leveraging Education & Technology.”

      Annually Microsoft invests approximately 9 Billion dollars in R&D. This year 75% of all Microsoft Engineers are working on new cloud applications and new cloud services. By the end of this year according to Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft, that number will rise to 90% of Microsoft's 40,000 engineers. The Cloud is Here and Now.

      December 2010 iTenWired Summit - Regional Entrepreneur Groups Come Together

      iTenWired will sponsor its seventh regional economic development summit at a the Palms in Destin on Friday December 10th. A reception will be held on Thursday Dec 9th.

      This year's summit will bring together four regional entrepreneur groups to discuss sustaining technical entrepreneurship. For the first time, the Gulf Coast Technology Council, ITGulfcoast, TeCMEN and TalTech will meet to network, collaborate and support entrepreneurial strategies for the new economy.  Be sure to meet the leaders of these organizations and receive an update from each organization at the iTen Wired Summit Reception on Dec. 9 as well as the panel discussion on Dec. 10.
