  PENSACOLA, FL – ITGulfCoast, an Information Technology Association for the Gulf Coast, will hold their regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, June 25th 2008 at PJC Downtown. Shawn Brown, Webmaster for Cox Communications Gulf Coast, will discuss discuss ways for organizations to increase their webiste traffic through both organic and paid search marketing.  
  
  Increase traffic through both Organic and Paid search marketing

  Your website is a key element of your overall marketing plan.  It’s important that you fully utilize those invested marketing dollars.  By a properly designed website and implementing basic search engine optimization principles to your site you will be able to drive targeted traffic to your site.  Search engine marketing is an overlooked element when most organizations and businesses plan their websites.  The information I will share can give you the building blocks to a successful website.
  
  Speaker Bio
  Shawn Brown currently holds the position of Webmaster at Cox Communications Gulf Coast.  He has been with Cox for nine years and has been in the web design industry for over 10 years.  Shawn has been a resident of the Pensacola/Gulf Breeze area for over 25 years.  He is happily married to Lindy. They have enjoyed raising their family in Pensacola.

  Specializing in both the creative and technical side of the Internet industry Shawn has been able to couple appealing designs to web applications that generate results.  Shawn has used database development, web programming, design and web marketing skills to build applications that are currently used by other Cox systems throughout the country.  By applying search marketing techniques to Cox’s website Shawn has increased both organic and paid search traffic.

  Meeting Details
  This meeting will be held at the PJC Downtown Center http://www.pjc.edu/includes/maps/PJCMapDTC-s.pdf. The meeting starts at 11:30am and ends at 1:00pm.   The cost for lunch is $12 per person.  Cold box lunches will be provided.  The fee to attend without lunch is $5 per person
