Cloud Computing: Beyond the Hype
David M. Powell will be speaking on the role of Cloud Computing in today’s world. Cloud computing is a general term for anything that involves delivering hosted services over the Internet. In the past year, technology has changed at a rate as fast as any other time in recent memory. The cloud has moved from hype to near-necessity, consumers are driving corporate IT more than ever, and the Post-PC world is upon us. How is a company supposed to keep up with these changes? David Powell, Vice President of Managed Services at TekLinks will explore the cloud and how to derive real business value from the platform.
Presenter
David Powell is a 15 year veteran of the IT industry, He graduated with his Bachelors in Communication from the University of Alabama where he also received his Masters in Public Relations and Advertising. David has spent the last nine years working in Managed Services and Cloud Computing. Since coming Teklinks he has doubled the revenue in Management Services and has become a leading voice in Management services and Cloud Computing. He has also been vital in attaining a national platform for TekLinks in the recent years. David has become one of the most recognizable names in managed services and cloud computing. As this national recognition has grown, TekLinks continues to win significant awards, including the Top Managed Services Provider award from CRN at the VAR500 awards.
Meeting Details
This meeting will be held at the Gulf Coast Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (PJC Downtown ) conference room on the 4th floor. 418 West Gregory Street, Pensacola FL. The meeting starts at 11:30 am and ends at 1:00 pm. The cost for lunch is $12 per person. The fee to attend without lunch is $5 per person.
