The University of West Florida School of Science and Engineering is proud to host the Security and Software Engineering Research Center Showcase (S2ERC) on November 17 -18, 2010. We hope you will make plans to join us for this exciting two-day event that will focus on enhancing synergy between researchers from participating universities and
SERC industry leaders. Participants will learn about the latest in security and software engineering research, network with industry and government affiliates of S2ERC, meet participating university representatives and even tour the new
UWF School of Science and Engineering building.
What is SERC?
The Software Engineering Research Center (
SERC) is an NSF sponsored Industry/University Cooperative Research Center (I/UCRC) that has been ongoing for 23 years. Over 100 research projects have been conducted at SERC.
SERC Overview.
Collaborative, customized projects and technology transfer to industry affiliates are the hallmarks of SERC. The industry affiliates receive immediate access to customized research from cooperative researchers, interaction with diverse expert researchers, access to new graduates and summer interns, and an excellent return on their investment (7-to-1 to a 10-to-1 return). The University of West Florida was designated a "Participating University" in SERC on February 4, 2010.
Industry and Government Affiliates of the S2ERC include:
Angie's List, Bingham McHale, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Boeing, Department of Homeland Security, Intelligent Information Technologies, Iowa Department of Transportation, John Deere, Lockheed Martin, MacAulay-Brown, NASA, Naval Surface Warfare Center-Crane, NSF, Northrop Gruman, Onatio Systems, Raytheon, Rockwell Collins, TIAA-CREF, U.S. Army Research Laboratory, Union Pacific.
