The Pensacola Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, TEAM Santa Rosa, ITGULFCOAST and the University of West Florida announce the 2011 iTen Wired Summit, to be hosted in Pensacola on September 9 at UWF.
The iTen Wired Summit is a consortium of information technology entrepreneurs, gathering annually to discuss the latest trends and best practices of the field. This event will focus on “Leveraging Education & Technology.”
An array of speakers from around the Southeastern United States will visit Pensacola and present a variety of topics include social media for businesses, healthcare IT, workforce resources and best practices, UWF research and mobile development, UWF alumni success stories, and an economic update from Dr. Rick Harper.
The featured keynote speaker is Theresa Brunasso, an alumnus of the University of West Florida and founder and president of D & S Microwave. Brunasso is a 30-year veteran in the field of electrical engineering.
iTen Wired is hosted by University of West Florida and commences at 7:30 a.m. with registration, UWF leadership presentations and keynote in the morning. The event will continue with breakout sessions in three tracks - Technology, Workforce & UWF Spotlight. The program is set to conclude at 2 p.m. and will immediately be followed by tours of the School of Science and Engineering.
The registration fee to attend is $100 and includes catered lunch. UWF students are admitted free of charge. All registered guests will receive an email with a parking permit.
