      UWF Graduate Software Engineering Scholarships

UWF is offering scholarships for Florida residents who want to earn a Master of Science degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering through grants provided by Florida's Great Northwest. One group starts in Fall 2009 and another starts in Spring 2010. Since students must already be admitted to UWF to be selected for this scholarship, the departmental deadline for admission to the Software Engineering program at UWF is July 15, 2009.

The first cohort, who started the accelerated executive program in February, are now in their third semester and will graduate in December.

The cohort starting in Fall 2009 will attend a five semester program (part-time) with options for completing a Database Systems Certificate or a General Software Engineering elective track. An executive (accelerated) cohort starts in Spring 2010. This group will finish in one year and will have the option of Database track, General Software Engineering or Medical Informatics track.

Since students must already be admitted to UWF to be selected for this scholarship, the departmental deadline for admission to the Software Engineering program at UWF is July 15, 2009.

Both programs include a one semester project/internship. All classes are conducted online with the exception of two orientation sessions held in Pensacola. Students who are accepted will receive 75% of their tuiton costs plus the loan of laptop. Students will purchase their own books.
